Trump Soho hotel trades jazz for indie-rock music

Being a commercial laundry service provider, we don't know much about this new venue. We know that the Trump Soho is hoping to attract a younger crowd by introducing indie-rock tunes. Similar to Prince, it is elegantly referred to as "the space formerly known as Kastel." Since the last concepts were way off the mark, the Trump Soho is hoping to gain some market share with these new renovations.

NEW YORK - In an attempt to bring more life into its lobby at night, the luxury Trump Soho hotel's shaking up its bar venue - a change that will replace jazz with indie-rock music.

The hotel's nightlife venue is currently closed while Koi Group - which is also in the midst of turning around the hotel's restaurant - transforms the space into a spot that sounds like it will appeal to a younger audience. It's the same company, by the way, that runs the popular Koi Bryant Park restaurant.

New nightlife concept: Bartelier

To create Bartelier, Koi CEO Nick Haque teamed with Los Angeles nightlife veteran Darren Dzienciol, who's known for creating rocking West Hollywood clubs such as Trousdale and the Beverly Nightclub.
