HR Generalist
OverviewThis position is based in Prestige’s corporate offices located at 1 Evertrust Plaza, Jersey City, NJ. This position will join a team of 2 other Generalists reporting into a Senior HR position. Some travel will be required as this position will need to visit our various
plant locations in NJ and NY.
HR GeneralistIn this position you will perform Human Resources related duties at the professional level. Functional areas of responsibility will include staffing, employee relations, labor compliance and reporting, labor relations, and employment equity programs. As a fairly new department, we are looking for candidates who can roll up their sleeves to help create an HR department which can support our plant operations by looking at policies and procedures and HR infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Implement human resources programs by providing human resources services, which may include talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation and benefits, training and development, records management, employee relations and retention; and personnel transactions.
- Partner with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
- Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action.
- Respond to employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints.
- Review applications, screens and interviews applicants to match experience with specific job related requirements.
- Assists Dept Head in responding to outside agency charges.
- May assist in compensation and benefits planning and design.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by analyzing existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in HR or a related field with at least 5 years of HR or related experience
- Experience with employment law and other government compliance regulations is preferred along with knowledge of pertinent federal, state and local laws, regulations and codes
- Principles and practices of recruitment and selection
- Ability to objectively coach employees and management through routine employee relations matters
- Bi-Lingual English and Spanish helpful
- HR Certifications, such as PHR, SPHR desirable
- Excellent written skills and communication skills
Plant Manager (North Bergen)
OverviewThis position is based in Prestige’s North Bergen, NJ laundry facility. This Plant Manager will be responsible for the operations of a brand new plant facility. We are looking for someone who is familiar with laundry plant operations and can be instrumental in the growth of this plant’s operations.
Plant Manager (North Bergen)This position will manage and oversee overall plant operations including production, engineering, materials, quality assurance and control, human resources, finance and information systems for our North Bergen plant facility. You will also make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations as necessary.
Responsibilities- Manage plant operations for production, maintenance, and fleet departments.
- Contemplate and execute operational initiatives through careful review of the entire service process from pick up, process to delivery.
- Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to insure the total operational & service objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.
- Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
- Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
- Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses.
- Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company.
- Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA standards.
Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience with at least 7 – 10 years in the field with minimum of 5 years in plant operations.
- Experience managing P&L and production
- Experience managing staff of union and non-union workforce and ability to accomplish workforce planning

Corporate Controller
OverviewThis position is based in Prestige’s corporate offices located at 1 Evertrust Plaza, Jersey City, NJ. In this position you will support the CFO and manage an accounting/finance staff.
Corporate ControllerAssist the CFO in directing the Company's accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles practices (GAAP), procedures, and initiatives. Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to top management.
Responsibilities- Responsibility for all general accounting and financial reporting duties and facilitation of preparation
of financial statements in accordance with GAAP - Serve as main point of contact for Company's external auditors
- Responsibility of annual budgeting process, including overall comparison of actual operations to budgeted results, identifying variances, and determining causes and actions. Work with operating managers/departments heads on development of budget, revisions and analyses of variances.
- Support the preparation of federal, state and local tax returns
- Develop and maintain organizational plan for entire accounting function, including oversight of training and conducting of performance reviews.
Requirements- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA
- 8-10 years Controllership experience in a medium sized company ($30 to $60 MIL)
- Laundry management industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong GAAP / technical accounting skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience of accounting department
Mechanic
OverviewPrestige is looking to recruit mechanics for all their facilities, including their soon to open facility in North Bergen, NJ. There may be some travel required between Prestige's other operating facilities spread out through the Greater NYC Metro Area. You will be joining a company that processes 250,000 lbs of soiled laundry per day for 91 hotels and many more restaurants.
MechanicAs a mechanic you will provide technical assistance and knowledgeable resolutions to electrical, mechanical and engineering problems as they occur as well as collaborating with others in Prestige's Engineering department to carry out preventative maintenance to prevent problems from occurring.
Responsibilities- Supervise equipment areas and ensure work is performed in a safe manner to avoid any personal injuries
- Prepare and coordinate work orders for all facility items
- Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommend corrective actions
- Advises and assists in effecting design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce costs of operating that item
- Electrical troubleshooting and repair of all plant equipment - ability to install and maintain electrical equipment such as conduit, junction boxes, control panels, wiring, etc, in conformance to the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Enthusiastic willingness to receive on-the-job training on industrial laundry equipment such as Continuous Batch Washers, Ironers, Small Piece Folders and so on
Requirements- Must own a broad mechanical aptitude with a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, components and tools
- Should have experience with multi voltages and 3-phase motor control circuits as well as troubleshooting them
- Must be able to read basic electrical schematics
- Is a Graduate of a certified vocational program, have a Journeyman Electrician's license and/or Graduate of a State Certified electrical apprenticeship program
- Must possess basic hand tools
- Working knowledge of NEC policies and procedures
- Basic Computer Skills (MS Office Suite)

OverviewThis position is based in Prestige’s corporate offices located at 1 Evertrust Plaza, Jersey City, NJ. This is a brand new department and we are looking to hire 2 competent individuals to staff our Call Center reporting to a Call Center Manager.
Call Center RepresentativeDuties include answering telephone call inquiries. Responsible for researching and resolving complaints, troubleshoot problems and provide information to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the
hospitality industry. Position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. You should have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the
hospitality industry.

Front Line Associate
OverviewPrestige has openings in our Bay Shore, NY, Manhattan and Paterson, NJ facilities for Front Line Associates who operate a variety of our commercial laundering machines. While the work is repetitive it is also crucial to fulfilling the satisfaction of our customers.
The Front LineAs part of the Front Line, you are the most important members of our company. You operate within the washroom, terry department, ironing department, assembly area or other departments which encapsulate the entire laundering process and are responsible to ensure we deliver a high level of service and quality to our customers.
Physical Requirements- Must be able to walk and/or stand for the entire length of shift
- Have good hand-eye coordination
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- There will be pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, twisting and turning
- Work is in a non-climate controlled environment
